Pandauino? is a company to be incorporated, located in Perpignan, Catalonia. It designs electronic boards with software mostly based on Arduino technology. This is a hyper specialized activity, benefiting from a growing interest in electronic test boards on behalf of professionals, students and electronic hobbyists.  Nowadays Atmega, PIC, and other microcontrollers and their peripheral parts are so advanced and cheap that they are the basic components of a profusion of new portable technologies with applications in the fields of self-care,  home automation, robotics, environmental protection and many others. Pandauino? considers that this is a fantastic opportunity to grow a top-level business. Until now only a couple of US companies have such an expertise.  There are not many companies in the rest of the world, but in China where they propose a large offer of relatively basic products. Pandauino? is aiming at providing very versatile and good quality boards. Nowadays this is an international activity since many initiatives originates from the USA as well as the financing, while production of parts is based in Asia and Eastern Europe. French companies surely can design, assemble and distribute their boards to local and international markets.

Thierry Guennou

I was born in 1971 and I am single. I studied physics at Orsay and Pierre et Marie Curie Universities. Then I trained as a technical salesman (Ecole Supérieure de Vente of the Versailles Chamber of Commerce). I have been working as a developer for big computing companies. I mainly worked on Microsoft (Access, Sql server, ASP 3.0, ASP.net), and  Oracle technologies (database and forms) and on proprietary softwares. Then I took some risk at developing websites for my own. During the last years I got interested in electronics as a hobby and came up with the idea of designing the best possible circuits. This brought me to design the first board proposed by Pandauino?, an Arduino compatible frequency counter.

Considering the quantity of work to do I will certainly be glad to meet possible associates, who would specialize in technology, industrialization, marketing, distribution or management.

Environmental protection

As soon as I thought about creating a company, I asked myself what would be the impact of such an activity on the environment. High technologies involve the use of many materials and it is energy consuming. This question is now commonly addressed on a global scale. As an example, electronic component manufacturers are now obliged to produce parts with respect to the ROHS European directive.

As for myself, I am living nearby the Mediterranean Sea and it is of course a pleasure to benefit from this beautiful landscape. But I am shocked by episodes of pollution, for example after "the season" when the sea is covered with strange dirty particles or at times when the beach is covered with metal or plastic parts. This is the reason why I would like to support a project aiming at protecting the seas and this is exactly The Ocean Cleanup is goal. This large-scale project was started in 2013. They recently declared that they are close to starting to collect the huge quantities of garbage accumulating in specific areas of the oceans. Thus I decided that a percentage of all of our projects funding will be given to support them.
